DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Content Creation: Assist in creating and editing content for various communication channels, including press releases, newsletters, blog posts, and social media.
- Support in maintaining relationships with media contacts, drafting media pitches, and tracking media coverage.
- Help develop and distribute internal communications such as company announcements, employee newsletters, and intranet updates.
- Assist in organizing and promoting corporate events, including press conferences, webinars, and internal meetings.
- Conduct research on industry trends, media opportunities, and communication best practices to support strategy development.
- Help manage the company’s social media accounts by scheduling posts, monitoring engagement, and analysing performance metrics.
- Perform various administrative duties such as updating media lists, maintaining communication calendars, and preparing reports.
- Provide support for special projects and initiatives within the Corporate Communications department.
EDUCATIONAL & PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION
- BSc. in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 6 months relevant experience in Communications/Marketing/Public Relations.
COMPETENCY & SKILL REQUIREMENTS
- Strong creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- High level of attention to detail and organization skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and familiarity with social media platforms.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced work environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to use design tools (e.g. Canva).
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- A positive attitude and eagerness to learn and contribute.
- Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
