ECONOMY STATES’ REVENUES RISE BY 46.11% TO N1.6TN Revenue generated from the state within the last two years (2016-2018) rose by 46.11% to N1.6tr from N800.02bn, this appreciation was attributed to improved government economic policies that resulted in expansion of the nation’s tax base from 10 million to 20 million national tax base, with a projected 45 million tax base for the current year. The Nation’s Aggregate Tax Collection within the last two years rose by 53.81% to N5.32trn in year 2018 from N2.85trn recorded in year 2016, while Non-oil revenues quota of the total collection represent 54% of the amount generated. On a regional basis, with primary focus on the North-Central region, Kwara State has constantly maintained its lead within the region with regards to its internally generated revenue profile of the region, as the state recorded a 221% appreciation in its collection within year 2015,
